Perrigo is the world's largest manufacturer of over-the-counter pharmaceutical and nutritional products for the store brand and contract manufacturing markets and an emerging developer, manufacturer and marketer of prescription generic drugs.
 
* Developing, presenting and executing comprehensive promotional plans for national retail accounts supporting their store brand programs.
* Supplementing major new product launches with promotional / marketing support.
* Partnering with retailers to drive market share and revenue growth in their store brand programs.
* Serving as a brand manager resource / leader for store brand programs.
* Delivering the Perrigo advantage through the execution of these initiatives as well any number of other opportunities including consumer education, (retailer) employee education, pharmacy division education, planogram support, category advisor support, etc.
 
Working Details:
 
* This position manages assigned established accounts. The incumbent develops and maintains contact with customer representatives, and monitors the status of each account and promotional order.
* The incumbent receives and processes orders, working with Regulatory Affairs, Art, Packaging Engineering, and other departments to ensure that customer's promotional expectations are achievable and are met.
* The incumbent analyzes existing and anticipated customer requirements and promotes consideration of Perrigo products to fill such requirements.
* The incumbent monitors market trends affecting these customers and recommends promotional plans which will anticipate these trends and/or meet specific customer needs.
* The incumbent ensures volume and margin objectives for these accounts are achieved.
* The incumbent participates in sales planning, identifying opportunities and/or problems in assigned accounts which may impact the department's sales plans.
* The incumbent also provides administrative support to the vice presidents, developing project information or following up with customers or internal resources as needed.
 
Accountabilities:
 
1. Maintain rolling 12 month promotional calendar that includes promotional recommendations for all product categories.
2. Support new item launches with comprehensive promotional support.
3. Meet customer needs by working effectively with Perrigo departments to plan, process, and fill orders.
4. Increase business with existing accounts by recognizing their needs and providing effective promotional programs and other account support.
5. Provide effective support to department executives by ensuring that projects and assignments are completed accurately and promptly. 6. Work in partnership with Perrigo Customer Business Manager (CBM) to ensure that corporate sales objectives are met through effective business/promotional planning. Problem Solving: The incumbent works independently to ensure that customer orders are completed accurately and on time. The incumbent works with various functional areas to ensure that orders can be filled, particularly that deadlines can be met within production schedules. The incumbent develops proposals for promotions which will maintain or expand business with these accounts.
